I've been amused when my friend told me "there is still something else like Facebook Like". When the people eagerly an aversion by Facebook option, what is this thing new popping up? Google + 1. Initially seeing that someone who does not know about it might think it's a typographical error. However, it is not the case, it is a new business from Google.
Many of you, you might have noticed but not to be not given much importance, and some of you would have used it. As any other new product, it too mixed reviews.
Google + 1 is something similar to the Facebook like button, but not exactly congruent. The principle of operation is very simple. All you have to do is click on the button + 1 a page you like. It is like saying your friends "Oh I like it" or "you gotta check this". Simple isn't?
But what of mixed? We will see.
It is all Google. All you need is a gmail account. Search the subject through Google; If you want to share to your friends, click on the button + 1.
No additional registration or log in not required.
When you have more number of + 1 s to your web page or blog, then your page is more likely to get pushed to the top on search engine rankings (but I think that this is not a PRO, in some way).
This allows your page to display in the results of top search engine Google.
The sidenote: Already devote you sufficient time to engage in social networks and establish your brand. You have also done and now every post of yours goes viral in social media. Ok. But now if you need to get high number of + 1 s, classify to the SERPs which is a bit of pain, not?
Severe not sharing with copy paste the link or by email, etc.
One click and you can share all your contacts (via your profile); (I will return to that in a moment.)
When Google is the major search engine that gives you the most relevant details. + 1 improves the search even more.
When your friend clicks on Google of more than 1 a web page that is linked to your search, and then it will be displayed for you in the top search engine, so you can be sure of relevance since your friend liked.
On the flip side there are a few disadvantages too.
In an already confused webosphere, as Facebook "like" Twitter "follow" Digg "digg" etc., + 1 is a pleasant new confusion.
When people are accustomed to the Facebook as they can find a source of confusion if a button more is this.
When you read an article, as the content in a web page, impressed by advertising; you like it and want to share with your friends.
Your natural reaction is to click on similar, vote or share button. The Google Plus 1 button is not as clear as the facebook as.
When the name of the button is vague there are very less likely for people to click on it.
What good is this sentence "If you enjoyed reading this, like that", he likes on facebook"." Now, how does this sound "If you liked reading this, TI + 1", "+ 1 it on Google".
We used to ask the readers, as the majority of users, click the like button instead of + 1.
Ask someone to + 1 is too young.
The first mentioned pro actually becomes a jerk in some scenarios.
You can share with your gmail contacts, respect your contact AOL or yahoo? Not everyone in the world would be using Google.
You can + 1 only on Google search engines, then that those from yahoo or msn. This leads again to use Facebook as.
Clicking on Facebook as you will make updates on your newsfeed page. However + 1 does not appear to have this option for updates to orkut or Gmail. Your s + 1 go just to your profile, which nobody will be interested in research in. Basically it is not shared, but only the purpose of dumping.
On the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages, we see clearly that Google + 1 not exactly clear and easy to use. In many ways, as Facebook is more easy, practical and user-friendly.
If you have not tried the controversial + 1, then try from now until it becomes famous or fades.
These are just my opinion, and I'd love to hear yours.
What is you used + 1? You seems convenient, attractive, preferable and helpful for the promotion of your blog? Let me know in the comments.
* Editor's note: This post was written before the "beta launch" (or what you want to call) than Google. Right now, you can only join by invitation, but more of Google's FB - sharing functionality that does, in fact, appear in an exchange of News. You can add people to your circle and see their + 1 s, photos and anything they would like to share.
