David Ogilvy's "secret weapon" of Internet marketing, sales and business success

Almost forty years ago, storey ad man David Ogilvy sat in an Office somewhere in India, and recorded a few confessing film — what he called "secret weapon" of the advertising world.

It was a hot day, so he took off his jacket, exposing his infamous Red Suspenders.

Ogilvie said simply and directly to his audience on the other side of the camera.

Prophecy, which he uttered in this grainy 7-minute film all those years ago to pass, with a bullet.

Although visionary, Ogilvy could imagine not only as powerful as the Internet age, to become his "secret weapon", or eventually will be persons, construction companies in the media with no more than a laptop and a sufficient amount of sweat.

See great old man below. If you think his ideas, which have become obsolete, you just don't want to.

Create a link between 80-year-old mystery of Ogilvy and principles, we are talking about here week in and week.

There's nothing new under the Sun, we need only the humility and wisdom, to correctly apply and again, what came before.

(And if you're afraid that Ogilvy's legendary impatience with "creativity" means that you must be a hack, nothing could be further from the truth. Ogilvy wrote about the benefits of ad writer and assassin, and poet, and advertisements, he wrote that he was a master of both.)

Ladies and gentlemen, I envy you. For forty years I was a voice crying in the wilderness. Today is my first love comes into its own. You encounter a golden future. ~ David Ogilvy
